Canapés

A more and more popular choice. Drinks with friends/colleagues often standing up allowing people to mingle whilst nibbling on really attractive platters of food. Hot and cold options available.

Finger Buffet

One step up from a canapé. Buffet presentation of food you can eat with your fingers. Again, suitable for a casual atmosphere where you want people mix.

Fork Buffet

Guests will be able to eat standing up but will need a plate and a fork.

Sit Down

Your opportunity to sit people next to people you want them to sit next to! Halls, marquees, gardens… any number, anywhere!

Private Dining

If you’re planning an intimate dinner party and you want to spend time with your friends and family rather than in front of the stove, then please let us help you out. Your very own chef and waiting staff in your own home… what a treat!

Byfords Sharing Platters

We have done some cracking dos where the emphasis is on guests eating from sharing platters presented in the middle of the table. Conversation seems to flow better as guests discuss what’s on offer and serve each other.

Hog Roasts, Picnics, Barbeques

All possible from Byfords. You bring your ideas and we will do the rest. Why struggle with all that picnic gear to your ideal setting. You tell us where you want it and we’ll meet you there.

Afternoon Teas – as they used to be!

Delicate finger sandwiches, selection of scrummy Byfords cakes and freshly baked scones, clotted cream and Norfolk jam! You can add in soup for a bit more of a meal if you wish. Ideal for Christenings, funerals and corporate events.

The Kids

Children’s food is not a problem, we can make the healthy stuff look so good they will eat it! We can organise entertainment, seperate children’s tables with appropriate decoration and activities.

Drinks

Bars, casks of real ale, wine on a sale-or-return basis, vodka fountain, coke floats – you name it we can do it! We use Adnams wine merchants of Southwold who have a fantastic reputation. Plus, if you have a particular favourite then there’s a good chance we can source it.

The places listed below are venues we know well and that we would like to offer as possibilities. If you already have the perfect venue, then fantastic!

Byfords at Voewood

On the outskirts of Holt is a beautiful early 1900s mansion which is available for private hire. Boasting 14 bedrooms, amazing grounds and fantastic reception rooms. Mix in Byfords hospitality and this is the perfect venue for a party with a difference. Voewood has a civil wedding license.

Byfords at Mannington and Wolterton

Two local estate manor houses which are available for hire. Fantastic period features, fairytale setting and, of course, wonderful catering by us!

You at Byfords

Byfords is available to book out for that special occasion. Seating for up to 120 and 16 bedrooms for your enjoyment.

You at The Pigs

Our latest venture, The Pigs public house in Edgefield. A great traditional boozer with plenty of grounds and available for any requirements.

Service

You have 3 options. Firstly we can make at Byfords and you pick up from the deli (we can even put the food in your own pots!).
Secondly, we can make for you and deliver to your door.
Thirdly, we can make, deliver, serve and clear up (including the washing up) afterwards.

Staff

We are more than happy to supply team members for your occasion. At Byfords and The Pigs we have over 70 people we know, trust and who understand what we are trying to achieve here at Byfords. All staff will be dressed in the Byfords uniform which is black and white, unless you require otherwise.

Equipment

Every occasion is different, whether it be colour schemes or style of food, therefore we do not carry much equipment here at Byfords. We do have a great relationship with hire companies, where we can order in items to fit your needs. We will do all the organising of how much, when and where, and pass on the final cost to yourself.
