Something For Everyone When Visiting North Norfolk

Visitors to the North Norfolk coast are blessed with an enormous range of things to see and do. There are the free things, of course - the lovely coastline, glorious countryside, birdwatching, cycling and so on - but this area of the country is also home to a wide range of man-made attractions.
As anyone who has been on a weekend break in Norfolk will know, this is a prime tourist area and consequently all sorts of activities have been set up for those of all ages. Hotels in North Norfolk vary and these days you can opt for all kinds of accommodation, from staying in a wigwam or yurt in trendy Burnham Deepdale to some amazing Norfolk Luxury Hotels where you could well be sharing the restaurant with a well-known celebrity or two. During the day, however, there's all sorts to tempt you, from the new Amazonia Zoo in Cromer where you can see everything from flamingos to leopards, to the more sedate Alby Crafts & Gardens where you'll find pottery, paintings, jewellery, sculpture, woodcraft and a great deal more.

For the little ones, Bewilderwood is a must - this huge forest of family fun and adventure is aimed at the more adventurous types who like to run through woods on wooden bridges and climb up into countless treehouses. And for the smallest members of the family there's Toddlerwood, a relatively new attraction on the same site. Come and stay in one of the North Norfolk Hotels and you'll see for yourself what's on offer - boat trips on the famous Norfolk Broads, a journey on a narrow gauge steam railway... you can even have a go at glass-blowing at Langham Glass, where glass-making demonstrations take place regularly, with those over 16 able to create their own masterpieces.

This part of the world is home to some wonderful gardens, too, from Pensthorpe, famous for its feathered friends and, until very recently, host of the BBC's Springwatch programme to the Priory Maze and Gardens between Sheringham and Cromer. And, if you don't mind venturing further afield, Thrigby Wildlife Gardens over at Thrigby Hall in Filby, Great Yarmouth, is also well worth a visit. Indeed, wherever you decide to go, Norfolk has something for everyone whatever the time of year.
