We recently said a heartfelt farewell to two Byfords legends as we wished them off for a happy retirement.
The Man, The Myth, The Legend
Mark has been part of the Byfords family since August 2007, an incredible 18 years! During which he became the warm, welcoming face that so many of our guests first encountered.
As a cornerstone of our reception team, Mark greeted everyone with his signature smile, offered a helping hand with bags, and went above and beyond to ensure every stay was exceptional. His kindness, dedication, and unwavering hospitality made a lasting impact not only on our guests but also on the entire Byfords team.
The ultimate cake connoisseur
In the same week, we also said a fond farewell to another cherished member of the Byfords team, Louise.
For the past 11 years, Louise has been working her magic behind the scenes in the Hidden Talents kitchen, crafting many of the classic Byfords cakes that you know and love. A truly talented baker, she has been the creative force behind some of our most beloved treats.
Louise’s talent and delicious creations (especially her legendary Battenberg, a firm favourite amongst the staff) will be greatly missed.
Both Mark and Louise will be truly missed, but they will forever be a part of the Byfords family, and we wish them all the happiness in their new chapters. Thank you for everything, team.
